Deaf Newspaper is launching in 2010, currently our journalist are working very hard with our editor to bring to you the long waited newspaper for the deaf.

We won’t be like you usually find everywhere where you will find news then the editor disappeared!

Along with our very own live radio station where we will stream live news broadcast every day, we will keep you up to date with what is going on in the Deaf world, in sign language.

Dino D’Acampo and Stuart Manning have been charged for brutally killing a “Pet” rat in the Jungle….Yayyyyyy!

Before you go on and say but look it is only a rat – but to be honest with you, I have enjoyed the show ….that was not until they’ve made this barbaric act on a poor defenceless animal.

I am furious that the ITV producers have lured that poor rat to its fate, knowing full well what the consequences may be…I am tired of their continue cruelty and horrific treatment to alive animals and insects.

Okay, let’s take a look at this ridiculous example…in the eye of the dinosaurs we are only useless human being to them.

So can you imagine us as a human being getting picked up by a dinosaur, getting put in between their huge teeth, getting our body cut in 2 parts, spitted out our revolting head, then go on crunching our body until they have swallowed it…then go on to scream “Oh God, that is VILE” ….. And all that in the name of their game show?

Go Figure!!

1. When a Deaf person need to visit the Doctors, 99% of the Doctors can’t sign, so an interpreter has to be called in……Arghhhh what happened to our rights to privacy?
2. When  a Deaf person need a Police or is arrested, 99% of the Police officers can’t sign, so an extra time is need to bring in an interpreter, which can cause the situation to become more distressing.
3. 99% of the Lawyers and Judges in the Judicial system can’t sign…also the majority of the Interpreters who translated what is being said have very often got it wrong, that can result in miscarriage of justice…so what’s happened to Deaf peoples’ right of a fair trial?

Google who owned YouTube has announced something NEW for us, Deafies!

They have said they are going to auto add caption/subtitles in every video on YouTube!!

“Since we first announced captions in Google Video and YouTube, we’ve introduced multiple caption tracks, improved search functionality and even automatic translation. Each of these features has had great personal significance to me, not only because I helped to design them, but also because I’m deaf. Today, I’m in Washington, D.C. to announce what I consider the most important and exciting milestone yet: machine-generated automatic captions.”

Well done Google for proving something as invaluble as this – you have made millions of Deaf people from all over the world very happy….and you got yourself loyal customers for life!
