A man called Professor Kleinrock invented the Internet on this day October 29th 1969.

The birthplace of the Internet – University of California in sunny Los Angeles and this
post is where we all will gathered together to say a huge “Thank You and Happy Birthday!”

This man has also made our lives as a deaf person much more easier – we were able to mass communicate with anyone online without any restrictions.

Independence is VERY important for everyone including the deaf, so a BIG thank you from us all at the deafvillage!

Hey, I am getting very excited because I have had a contact from a very talent “Comic” artist from Poland. From looking at her blog, I can see that she is able to whip up amazing comics relating to the Deaf and Deaf Culture.

Many of you are aware that there are very few Deaf comic artist around. Making a joke about the Deaf in a comic format is a very gifted skill. So, at the moment I am waiting for her to get back to me to see if she will be able to translated some of her comic in English so that we will be able to enjoy it like the rest of the Polish deafies.

Creativity of the human mind is a totally complex and complicated thing. Even more astounding is the fact that the user of any given brain can rewire it to work in different ways, and that no two creative geniuses are ever thinking exactly alike.

When you use your brain a certain way it makes connections and it becomes stronger in those types of uses. A person, which uses their brain for creative activities, will enjoy the future ability to access hyper-creative thoughts that other people who do not use their brain that way simple cannot achieve.

Honor for LeRoy Colombo

LeRoy Colombo was a lifegurard and spend almost his life saving people, his name went into the guniess book of record for saving 907 lives and has been named as  “The Greatest Lifeguard Ever”.

What made the story so interesting is because LeRoy is Deaf!
